Position: Solution Architect
Key Responsibilities
Define,document and maintain the technical delivery method ensuringstandardisation of all activities involved in the delivery of ITprojects.
Define and provide standard framework, solution architecture and technology roadmap for APAC technology
For assigned projects, ensure a product architect oversees and reviews any design activities delegated to the project team
Forassigned projects, ensure all application construction or modificationwork associated with an assigned project is undertaken in compliancewith environmental specifications provided by Systems environmentmanagement personnel.
For assigned projects, oversee construction ofall functional project artefacts in accordance with Systems developmentmethodology, technical delivery method and quality gates.
Forassigned projects, ensure all project artefacts are constructed,compiled, packaged and documented in accordance with Systems policies
Maintain knowledge of Systems architecture developments and governance activities that impact technical delivery practices.
Participateas an optional member of the APAC Architecture Review Board supportingand advising other members of the architecture.
Provide advisory and training on architecture design for business solution team
Support and mentor delivery engineers who are interested in advancing to a system architect role.
Experience / Qualification / Key Skills / Attributes
Must Have:
Five or more years experience working in IT systems development as a technical project leader
Experience and good knowledge of system architecture frameworks and process
Proficiency in development methodologies and project management techniques
Proficiency in Java technology
Familiar with Oracle/SQL server DBMS
Familiarity with data engineering and modelling techniques
Familiarity with either Java open-source technologies from the Apache Foundation
Familiarity with UNIX and/or Microsoft Windows system operations techniques.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
Position: Senior Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Assume complete execution responsibility of small size project independently
Understand business requirements through direct interaction and define the scope of work
Design and development of the J2EE based web application on Websphere
Maintain and support J2EE based web application on Websphere
Ensure that work performed within the group is supportable and completed within the overall IT strategy of
Ensure that work is completed to a sufficient level of quality
Ensureadherence to change management processes and assist in facilitating theongoing review and enhancement of these processes.
Works under minimal supervision to meet goals set by management
Maintain Quality documents and follow the process defied for development
Experience and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
At least 4 years Java development experience in a commercial environment
At least 2 year experience on JSP, HTML, Javascript (Front end technologies)
Practical experience or understanding of using the Struts framework and Oracle RDBMS
Experience on standard application servers like Websphere
Experience on standard IDE like Web Sphere Application Development/RAD/Eclipse
Understanding of Object Oriented design with the ability to comfortably navigate around a large Web Application
Familiarity with Unix
Experience in Hibernate and Spring framework
Practical experience in using the Struts framework
4+ years overall experience within IT
Understanding UML modelling concepts
Ability to work in both Windows and UNIX platforms
Desirable Qualifications:
Hands on SQL and PL/SQL experience
Experience in any reporting tool like IBI WebFocus, Hyperion, Crystal or Actuate
Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle
Experience in the use of a source control management system like PVCS, Clearcase
Experience with WebSphere Studio development tools a strong plus
