Job Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities
1. Consult on overall architecture
2. Provide perspective on industry trends, future directions
3. Recommend next generation development tools and techniques
4. Experiment with and provide benefits for various toolsets
5. Initiation and oversight of technical documentation
6. Effective communication across developers and leaders
7. Create architecture prototypes / develop frameworks
8. General application development especially for the core pieces
9. Code testing – develop frameworks, best practices
10. Code reviews – ensure standards are maintained on team
Qualifications
1. 10+ years industry experience, 8+ years Java development experience in a web application environment
2. 5+ years J2EE web application architecture development
3. Sun Certified JavaEE Architect or equivalent
4. Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
5. Broad knowledge of the Java Platform with specialization in the creation of multi-tiered applications
6. Extensive architecture and development experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, v6 and v7.
7. Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 databases tuning and performance
8. Experience with open source technologies such as Struts, Spring, ehcache, YUI, DWR, Castor, etc
9. Proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects
10. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly
11. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members as well as non-technical members of the organization
12. Experience creating technical documentation in various forms
13. Excellent English written and verbal skills are essential
14. Strong developer skills / experience
